Artistic Journey:

Turner’s artistic journey traces back to her childhood, where her creative spirit blossomed through crafting costumes, decorations, props, and sets for school performances. While studying in the US and abroad, she immersed herself in classes that embraced theatrical and creative arts. A pivotal moment led her to The Sorbonne in Paris, marking a transition from an active modeling career to dedicated art studies in her 30s.

“I cannot recall the specific moment or age at which I first picked up a pencil or brush, but I feel like I have been creating art since I was a child,” says Turner, reflecting on her lifelong connection to art.

Transmogrification Technique:

Turner’s art is a fusion of levity, gravity, and depravity extracted from common objects, both past and present. Her unique technique, which she labels “transmogrification,” involves painting, burning, “drowning,” and wrapping objects. Each piece tells a narrative, sometimes existing solely in her imagination.

The artist’s refusal to adhere to conventional boundaries is evident in her mummification of objects, symbolizing the diverse ways humanity is wrapped up in the cycles of life. The urban landscape serves as her inspiration, with cities depicted as vibrant playgrounds adorned with traffic cones, graffiti, theater, and more.
